If your news source is calling this a 'Muslim' ban, you're watching/reading fake news.
The seven countries included in the travel ban were identified by Obama's government as 'countries of concern'. Some were included in the Terrorist Travel Prevention Act of 2015 which was passed in December 2015, with additional countries being added to the list in February 2016.

Nowhere in the text does it mention 'muslim', 'islam' or 'islamic'. It is a travel ban relating to seven countries identified by Obama's government as 'countries of concern'.
