"Why Socialism Works" A book with the same two words on every page... "It doesn't!"
A recently published book entitled 'Why Socialism Works' is rising up the amazon books sales charts and has currently hit the number 3 spot in the 'Political Ideologies' sales category.
This is the blurb on Amazon for 'Why Socialism Works':
"This is a comprehensive book on how and why socialism will work, despite your friends saying it has and always will be a failure."
As should be immediately apparent from a book entitled 'Why Socialism Works', the book is of course satire, and features the same two words on every page.
"It doesn't."
'Why Socialism Works' is proving popular with readers and has attracted a number of positive reviews:
"Most honest book I've ever read on the subject."
"Very well thought out facts offered to the reader."
"The author manages to capture the essence of socialism in a way I've yet to see from others orators on the topic."
"The text guides the reader through a thorough history of socialism to a near complete understanding of the ideology."
"One of the most educational books I've read on the matter."
"The author is very concise and too the point and clearly understands the social, economic, and political benefits of socialism."
"Highly recommend for younger crowds to catch a firm grasp on the effectiveness of socialism."
"An absolute must own for any supporter of socialism. Astoundingly comprehensive. Among the best examinations and analyses of socialism I've come across. Strongly recommended."
"Page after page of the most honest and accurate facts I've ever read on socialism."
One reviewer, however, obviously didn't realize that the book is satire, and posted the following review:
"Just ask Venezuela."
And the following review suggests that, despite the obvious clue in the title, not everyone realized the book was satire:
