Even CNN admits they are fake news.
CNN recently tweeted1 the following statement and apology to Anthony Scaramucci:
"On June 22, 2017, CNN.com published a story connecting Anthony Scaramucci with investigations into the Russian Direct Investment Fund.
That story did not meet CNN's editorial standards and has been retracted. Links to the story have been disabled. CNN apologizes to Mr. Scaramucci."
I wasn't aware that CNN had editorial standards, although I suppose they do have 'double standards'.
Anyway, for anyone who would like a summary of CNN's statement, here's the Tl;dr
CNN: "We lied."
One more thing, CNN, if your apology for publishing fake news had been sincere, you would have pinned it to the top of your twitter profile.
