President Trump knows who to trust.
Ever since Donald Trump won the election, there have been claims1 and concerns2 of a shadow government led by Obama working to undermine President Trump.
In recent weeks those concerns have grown that Trump is having to deal with people who can't be trusted, i.e. people who have a globalist agenda, rather than a pro-America agenda.
For anyone who shares those concerns, the following quote from Donald Trump's book 'Think Big And Kick Ass' is well worth reading:
Do Not Trust Anyone
I used to say, "Go out and get the best people, and trust them." Over the years I have seen too many shenanigans, and now I say, "Get the best people, and don't trust them." Do not trust them because if you don't know what you are doing, they are going to rob you blind. I know dozens of sophisticated business people who hired accountants and lawyers and others, and they trusted them. They got killed. They lost their businesses. So I say, "Get the best people, and don't trust them."
I have to admit that over the last week or so, I had been concerned about the prospect of a disloyal shadow government trying to push against the best interests of America in favor of a globalist agenda.
However, after reading this quote I was reminded that President Trump has dealt with a lot of people, and made a lot of deals in his lifetime. He knows what he's doing. He knows he will inevitably deal with some people who have dishonorable intentions. There are people in the government, particularly the Obama holdovers, who can't be trusted. That's already been made clear from the numerous leaks since Trump took office.
But the important thing, and the reassuring thing, is that after reading the above passage it's clear that Trump knows this.
Trump knows how to be successful. He wants the best people, but he's wise enough and experienced enough to know how to deal with the best people. Any disloyal members of the government are ultimately going to come off second best.
