Poll shows majority of Americans want valid photo ID to prove citizenship before voting.
A recent Fox News poll has revealed that the majority of Americans support photo ID for voting.
Among Republicans, 96% were in favor of photo ID to vote, 87% of independents were in favor of photo ID before voting, and even 60% of democrats believe voters should be required to provide a valid photo ID before voting.
Here's a non-exhaustive list of things you need ID for in America:
* Buying alcohol.
* Buying tobacco.
* Renting a car.
* Opening a bank account.
* Applying for a credit card.
* Applying for a mortgage.
* Applying for food stamps.
* Taking a flight.
* Renting or buying a house.
* Booking a hotel room.
* Applying for a fishing license.
* Getting married.
* Donating blood.
* Buying a gun.
* Buying a cell phone.
* Serving on jury service.
* Collecting a prescription (in certain states).
* Buying an 'M' rated video game.
Here's a list of things you don't need ID for in America:
* To vote.
There is no justification for a lack of voter ID.
The only plausible reasons why anyone would be against voter ID is because:
* They want to commit voter fraud.
* They want illegal aliens to vote.
* They have been indoctrinated with the racism of low expectations, and therefore they racistly believe that minorities would struggle to obtain voter ID.
Footnote: The democrat figures of 60% and 35% come to only 95%, so presumably the poll excluded dead voters who voted democrat.

This should have been made policy a very long time ago. There are so many other parts of our society that rightfully demand proof of citizenship, shouldn't voting be at the very top?
ReplyDeleteVoter ID is a great way to prevent voter fraud. It is the right thing to do, and the only people who will complain are those who benefit from voter-suppression. Because illegal votes suppress the choice of legal voters.
