The push for an "unaware and compliant citizenry" spreads to France.
As previously reported on Redpilled World, the Podesta emails revealed that Hillary Clinton's campaign team 'conspired to produce an unaware and compliant citizenry'.1
It appears that the push for an 'unaware and compliant citizenry' has now spread to France.
An article recently published by QZ.com argues that, 'Journalists shouldn't report the contents of Macron's leaked documents, for democracy's sake.'
For democracy's sake? Isn't democracy supposed to be about free-thinking informed people deciding the fate of their country? So let me get this straight, for the sake of informed free-thinking people deciding the fate of their country ... the media should not let them be informed or free-thinking?
The article begins:
"A year ago we wouldn’t have been comfortable arguing that journalists should hold back from reporting on and analyzing any such materials they were given. It would be a failure to do their jobs, on the principle that such reporting helps citizens make informed choices when they vote."
Correct. If journalists refuse to report stories it is indeed a failure to do their jobs. The article then adds:
"Not reporting on the material can smack of taking sides, as it means effectively sheltering one candidate..."
Correct again.
However, despite this, the article then goes on to argue for self-imposed media censorship, and concludes:
"The democratic process is too important to allow external groups to control the discussion around elections at critical moments through illegal tactics. The aggressiveness of efforts to manipulate elections in places like France means that in some limited cases, less reporting might be better than more."
Less reporting might be better than more? Since when has Orwellian censorship been the true hallmark of western democracy?
The globalist elite and their puppet politicians and presstitutes in the mainstream media are becoming increasingly more open about their desires for an 'unaware and compliant citizenry'.
The public should ask themselves, why is it that modern day nationalists embrace openness and freedom of speech, while globalists are increasingly pushing a policy of censorship and suppression of information?
