The ironically named 'The Independent' scrape the bottom of the barrel with latest story.
The ironically named 'The Independent' have tweeted1 a story which demonstrates how far they are willing to go to scrape the bottom of the barrel when it comes to reporting 'news':
They tweeted, "Donald Trump may have broken the law by deleting 'covfefe' tweet."
The question which immediately springs to mind is, 'where was the ironically named The Independent's concern for US law when Hillary Clinton used BleachBit to delete 33,000 emails from her private server?'
On the entire Independent website, there is not a single mention of the fact that Hillary Clinton used BleachBit to delete 33,000 private emails from her private server. Seriously, you won't find a single mention of BleachBit on The Independent website.
You can verify this for yourself. Do a search for:
'site:independent.co.uk bleachbit'
The search returns 'no results'.
Of course, Hillary Clinton deleting 33,000 emails from her private server was too big a story for The Independent to ignore altogether. To be fair, they did report on the story, but not a single one of their reports mentioned Hillary Clinton's use of BleachBit.
The closest you will find to a story criticizing Hillary for deleting 33,000 emails, is a report headlined:
"Hillary Clinton 'made a mistake' over email server - her husband says"2
So when Hillary Clinton refuses to provide her private server after being subpoenaed, and instead she deletes 33,000 emails using BleachBit, she 'makes a mistake'? But when President Trump deletes a tweet, he breaks the law? I have to admit, that doesn't sound like 'independent' reporting to me. In fact to be blunt, it sounds like extremely biased reporting.
As The Independent failed to report that Hillary Clinton used BleachBit to delete the 33,000 emails from her private server, let's remind them of what Trey Gowdy told Fox News:
"(Hillary) and her lawyers had those emails deleted, and they didn't just push the delete button. They had them deleted where even God can't read them. They were using something called BleachBit. You don't use BleachBit for yoga emails or bridesmaids emails. When you're using BleachBit it is something you really do not want the world to see."3
And she didn't stop there. An FBI report revealed that former Bill Clinton aide, Justin Cooper, recalled "two instances where he destroyed Clinton's old mobile phones by breaking them in half or hitting them with a hammer."4
Getting back to the Independent's 'story', it's worth pointing out that in typical MSM fashion, they protect themselves by hiding behind the words 'might have'. This translates as 'he didn't break the law, but we want the clicks so we'll protect ourselves legally by using the words 'might have'.'
As a reminder, fake news has to hide behind words like 'might have', 'possibly' and the old favorite of the corrupt leftist media ... 'anonymous sources'. Real news doesn't need to hide behind protective terms such as these. Real news makes statements.
For example:
"Hillary Clinton did delete 33,000 emails from her private server using BleachBit."
You see how it works, fake news MSM? Not 'might have'. Not 'possibly'. Hillary Clinton did delete 33,000 emails from her private server using BleachBit.
Finally, The Independent might want to brush up on their proof reading skills, because they misspelled covfefe.
As you can see, instead of typing 'covfefe' they mistakenly wrote 'cofveve'.
Cofveve!? What are they talking about? I mean, that's not even a word!

But did he intend to delete the tweet?
ReplyDeleteThat's the all-important question.
