To those who sit for our national anthem...

Here's a post from facebook which sends a powerful message to NFL players and others who sit for the national anthem.

"To those who sit for our national anthem...my son with cerebral palsy and can't stand on his own will show you how it's done!! #America"

In a world increasingly filled with snowflakes throwing constant temper tantrums with a sense of entitlement, it's good to be reminded what true patriotism looks like.

The freedoms we enjoy should not be taken for granted. Those who disrespect the national anthem should take a few moments to appreciate the freedoms we have. It is those freedoms which allow them the right not to stand, and allow them to disrespect those who fight to defend our freedoms.

Those who disrespect the national anthem should reflect on how lucky they are to live in a country where they won't get thrown in jail for protesting. Or better still, they should try protesting in one of the many oppressive countries of the world, and then re-evaluate how lucky they are to live in America.

Team USA hockey coach John Tortorella has this to say on the matter, “If any of my players sit on the bench for the national anthem, they will sit there the rest of the game.”
