The Failing New York Times confirmed as fake news ... by the Failing New York Times.
The Failing New York Times has been confirmed as fake news ... by their own story!
An article by Julie Hirschfield Davis reported on President Trump's recent tweet where he stated, "Trade between China and North Korea grew almost 40% in the first quarter."
The Failing NYT article then goes on to cast doubt on President Trump's claims by stating:
"It was not clear where Mr. Trump garnered his 40 percent figure."
Incredibly, only two paragraphs later, the same article then states:
"China's trade with the North grew by 37.4 percent."
So to summarize:
* President Trump states China's trade with North Korea grew by almost 40%.
* The Failing New York Times implies President Trump's figure is wrong.
* The Failing New York Times confirms that trade grew by almost 40%.
The lack of journalistic integrity show by the Failing New York Times is incredible. To call out their own fake aspersion within the space of two paragraphs suggests the Failing New York Times must have a really low opinion of their readers.
Although to be fair to the Failing New York Times, President Trump did say "in the first quarter", while the Failing New York Times figure clearly refers to the "first three months of the year". /s
