"Trump wants to win. All the Obama administration wanted to do was not lose."
Since taking office, President Trump has met with many leaders and ambassadors from around the world.
Here's what Dr Hamdullah Mohib, the Afghan Ambassador to the United States, had to say about President Trump after meeting with him at Mar-a-Lago, and following Trump's two telephone conversations with President Ghani, the President of Afghanistan (emphasis added).1
"We were pleasantly surprised at how much time President Trump spent asking very informed questions. The first time the presidents spoke, the questions Trump asked impressed us. 'How can you win in this fight [against terrorism]?' he asked. 'What do you need to become financially independent?' and 'How can American business invest in Afghanistan?' Trump would listen intently after each question, often asking follow-ups.
Asking these types of questions for our country is something the Obama administration never did. The Obama administration was the most academic administration we have ever had to deal with, but the Trump administration has been the most thoughtful and intelligent.
Trump continually asked, 'How can you win? What does Afghanistan need to win?' in reference to our fight with terrorism. Trump wants to win. Sincerely. All the Obama administration wanted to do was not lose."
As you can see, Dr Mohib was extremely positive and full of praise after meeting with President Trump. This tends to be a common trend with many who have met with Trump in person.
For example, auto executives praised President Trump after their meeting with him2:
"We just had a great conversation with the president and he is very focused on policies that will grow investment and jobs here in America, in American industry and of course in the automotive industry.
We're very encouraged by the president and the economic policies that he's forwarding."
Even union leaders, who are traditionally left wing, enthusiastically praised President Trump after meeting with him.3
"The president laid out his plans about how he's going to handle trade, how he is going to invest in our infrastructure, and how he's going to level the playing field for construction workers and all Americans across this country.
The respect that the President of the United States showed us, and when he shows it to us he shows it to three million of our members in the United States, was nothing short of incredible.
And we will work with him and his administration to help him implement his plans on infrastructure, trade and energy policy, so that we really do put America back to work in the middle class jobs that our members and all Americans are demanding."

The common theme appears to be that Trump is a president who listens, a president who shows respect, and a president who wants to win.
