Donald Trump is an idol in Finland.
The younger generation in Finland are big Donald Trump fans. |
For example, Finnish website talouselama.fi recently reported that Donald Trump has topped a popularity poll conducted among Finnish teenagers.1
Their headline states, "President Donald Trump is the most followed idol in the eyes of Finns."
The article begins:
"According to a study conducted by Tubecon's Taloust Research, boys aged 16 to 19 will follow more politicians than before."
It then goes on to say:
"Trump rose to the top of the list of boys between the ages of 16 and 19."
Whereas in decades gone by the younger generation had little interest in politics, it's a growing trend nowadays that more and more young people are becoming interested in political news, and paying more attention to politicians.
Perhaps the digital age in which we live is partly responsible for this, as it allows information to spread much more quickly. This in turn enables corrupt politicians to be exposed more easily, which in turn leads to more people realizing the importance of ensuring the wrong people don't get into power.
Information is power, and the younger generation are more tech-savvy and therefore more informed than ever before. This will inevitably limit the pro-globalist indoctrination efforts currently being pushed at many universities, and explains in part why research shows that generation Z is expected to be strongly conservative.2
