Censorship from the Swedish media
This is Arminas Pileckas.
Arminas protected a girl in his class who was being sexually harassed by a Syrian refugee. The Syrian murdered Arminas by stabbing him in the back. The murderer's parents defended their sons actions as 'honorable'.
'News' sources in the UK and the US have pretty much avoided covering this story altogether. The story has been covered in Sweden, where the murder occurred, but most Swedish websites have covered up the fact that the Syrian refugee murderer was sexually harassing a girl, and that Arminas Pileckas was protecting her. Some reports have even covered up the fact that murderer was a Syrian refugee!
For example, Arminas' parents were interviewed by Lithuanian newspaper 'Lrytas'. Swedish newspaper 'Expressen' reported on the interview, but they omitted many key details from their story, such as:
* The fact that the murderer was a Syrian refugee.
* The fact that Arminas had defended a girl from sexual harassment.
* Arminas parents' criticism of the Swedish media.
It is absolutely disgraceful that a Swedish newspaper would delete key details from the story like they did, but given the current dishonest state of the media it is sadly not really surprising.
We are living in George Orwell's 1984.
Many Swedish news sites followed Expressen's dishonest example and covered up key details of the story. However, this is one Swedish website which provided an honest and open report:

"On Monday, the first day of spring semester, the 14-year-old Syrian put his plans into action. He took a kitchen knife to school, snuck up behind Arminas and stabbed him in the back. The knife pierced Arminas' heart and he later died of his injuries. According to media reports, the 14-year-old planned the murder during the Christmas break by searching online for information about killing with a knife."
This is a quote from Arminas' father:
"The Syrian had sexually harassed a girl and Arminas came to her defense. A week later, we went to the school for a meeting. The boy swore he would take revenge on him, and that is what he did."
The Swedish media weren't the only ones to cover up this story.
When Arminas' murder was reported, r/WorldNews on reddit censored and shadow removed the thread of the story without telling anyone. The thread did not break the rules in any remote way.
Why did r/WorldNews censor this story? Why did r/WorldNews remove a thread about an innocent child murdered for protecting a girl from sexual harassment, and the murderer and his family justifying the murder as 'defending his honor'?
They censored the story not because it broke any rules, but because it made the murderer look bad, and therefore the story didn't fit their agenda.
